Kranjska Gora. This ski center is recognized as the largest as well as the best equipped winter tourist center within Slovenia. It has become more popular because the World Cup Alpine Skiing is usually held there. It contains more than 30 kilometers of well maintained alpine ski trails, along with more than 40 kilometers of cross country trails.
Pohorje. Considered also as one of the popular choice, Maribor’s Pohorje is very accessible plus contains short lift queues with varied downhill pistes. It usually hosts the annual World Cup women’s downhill Golden Fox competition. Other special events there are the Pohorje Torch Parties.
Krvavec. This ski resort is located at the northeast of Kranj and is considered as one of Slovenia’s premier ski resort. It contains very long lift queues because of its proximity ot Kranj and northeast of Kranj. The resort also has well maintained slopes.
Planica. It was there in Planica wherein the world record for ski jumping was set. Planica has been recognized as the cradle of ski flying. It hosts the 3 day ski jumping World Championship every year.
Other Slovenian ski resorts are as follows: Vogel and Kanin, Cerkno, Stari Vrh. Pokljuka, Rogla, Kobla, Soriska Dolina, and Golte (Savinja Alps).
