Making Our Planner Available . . . IT'S NOW ONLINE and VERY AFFORDABLE!

Our new Planner is downloadable!
It’s less expensive! (a.k.a., Very Affordable!)
It’s available to your entire family at one price!

That’s right. You can print it for every child in your home at one very reasonable price! Let us explain the “why and how” to you.

As we struggled to get the Christian Homeschool Daily Planner reworked this year, we kept agonizing with how we would get it printed so that it wouldn’t cost too much to you. And in all of the challenges of trying to figure out a way, we all-of-a-sudden realized something obvious just a few weeks ago:

“We don’t need to print it! You can do that!” (Duh!)

Yes, we know. For some of you (but we think a very few), not having our Planner in a completed form, that has a really nice laminated cover and quality tabs already printed and done, will be a little bit disappointing. But we just concluded that it isn’t worth over $20 more per copy just so the Planner can be a little bit nicer.

Let’s be real. Most homeschoolers don’t have all kinds of money to throw around. Our goal is to provide a Planner that works well for every homeschooling family who wants one. So it also has to be very affordable. That is our bottom line. We were not happy with the price that last year’s Planner was costing homeschoolers. And with our new offering for the 2003-2004 school year, we have definitely solved that problem.

So here’s our offer for our Christian Homeschool Daily Planner and Parent’s Guide for 2003-2004:

You can obtain your copy of the entire Planner and Parent’s Guide, in downloadable and printable Adobe Acrobat™ PDF format, including the entire school year (September 2003 to August 2004) of weekly calendars, monthly calendars, Grand Plan for Students, Parent’s Guide, and Friends and Family Address pages for the price of $15 per family. [SCRATCH THAT--IT'S ONLY $10 THROUGH MAY, 2004]

That’s right. We aren’t charging per student for the product, but per family. We know this is a little bit of a disadvantage to smaller families, and favors larger ones, but at a price of $15, [OOPS, MAKE THAT $10 THROUGH MAY, 2004 FOR THE 2003-2004 VERSION], who is going to complain even if it’s only for one child?

[SPECIAL NOTICE: NOW THROUGH THE END OF THE 2003-2004 SCHOOL YEAR, WE ARE REDUCING THE PRICE AGAIN TO $10 PER FAMILY!!!]
Last year, we had to charge almost $30 for our Planners. That was per copy. Our new offer is per family, no matter how many children you have to use it!
How is that for a bargain?

A family of five students would have paid $150. This year they pay $15! They will save $135!!!!

[SPECIAL NOTICE: AND NOW, THROUGH THE END OF MAY, 2004, THE PLANNER IS ONLY $10. SO IT'S A SAVINGS OF $140!]

Even a family with one child saves a lot. It’s $15 less than it was in 2002!
[SPECIAL NOTICE: AND NOW IT'S $20 LESS!!!]

Now, we think this approach has some other great upside benefits:

1. The price is right. Again, just $15 per family.
[SPECIAL NOTICE: OR RATHER $10 PER FAMILY THROUGH MAY, 2004]

2. You can download and print the pages in whatever timeframe you want: monthly, quarterly, or all at once. It’s up to you. The price is for a perpetual use of the 2003-2004 Christian Homeschool Daily Planner and Parent’s Guide, including the Grand Plan.

3. For those of you who really want something that looks professional, you still can. Just take your downloaded Adobe Acrobat™ PDF document to your local printer and have it printed and bound any way you like for your children. Or just go to Wal-Mart or a local office supply store, buy a 3-ring binder and some 8x11 tabs, and print the pages out for your students! It’s your choice. You can spend as little or as much as you like to print the pages. With the price of paper being as low as $3.00 per 500 sheet or less, and using a low-cost inkjet printer, you can print several copies for a fraction of what we had to charge last year! The real value of the Planner is in the content and format. That hasn’t changed. We’re just making it more affordable.

Remember. It’s the information that is important.

We still are providing you with a high-quality printed Daily Planner for your secondary students. The PDF files can be downloaded either by month, or all 201 pages in one file.

It’s up to you how you do it. And we have made it simple to obtain it from any PC with a web browser.

Why not make a homeschooling project out of printing the Planner and have your children go see a local printer? Let them learn how printing a book is done as they obtain their own copy of it? How’s that for some creativity in getting your Planners printed?

So if you’re interested, read on, and we’ll show you how to get your copy today!

How To Order:

The first thing you need to do (obviously) is to place an order. To do this, go to http://www.davidandlaurie.com/planner_order.htm.

Please fill out the on-line order form, which will then direct you to make your credit card payment using PayPal.

[Or . . . For those of you who don’t want to order on-line, you can mail us your $15, [SPECIAL NOTICE: NOW $10 THROUGH MAY, 2004] made payable to H.E.L.P.S. and mail to P.O. Box 2133, Liverpool, NY 13089. Send us your physical mailing address on a self-addressed stamped envelope and we will mail you the instructions for downloading the files.

But why not save a lot of time and waiting? Please rest assured that PayPal is a very secure and protected way to purchase on-line. We have used it for over 3 years without any problems. We have never been notified that someone had their credit card or debit card information abused because they used PayPal. We are confident so far in their ability to protect their customers’ credit card data. In fact, if you understand the technology, ordering on-line is actually one of the most secure ways to order products available today. But that is your decision. We will provide a downloadable copy of our Planner instructions to download the files any way you want us to do so. It’s up to you.

Once you order in your preferred way, pay your $10 [NOW $10 THROUGH MAY, 2004], and it is confirmed (by PayPal, or upon clearing your check or money order), you will receive written instructions on how to download the files, either by e-mail or “snail mail” as you prefer. This will include sending you the password you will need to download the individual PDF files.

We have made the Planner available in the following sections, similar to last year’s:

Weekly pages (see an example page at www.davidandlaurie/weekly_example.htm)
Monthly pages (see and example page at www.davidandlaurie.com/monthly_example.htm)
Family and Friends Pages/Address book (see an example page at www.davidandlaurie.com/friendsandfamily_example.htm)
The Grand Plan for Students (see an example page at www.davidandlaurie.com/grandplan4students.htm)
The Parent’s Guide to the Daily Planner (see an example page at www.davidandlaurie.com/parentsguide.htm)

As we said before, you can download the entire 201-page Planner all at once, if you like, including all of the above sections (which will take about 2 to 3 minutes on a cable or DSL connection, obviously a bit longer at 56K speed), or just download the sections you want to print one-at-a-time.

But we need to ask you to do one thing . . .

When you order a copy of our Planner, we ask that you print it ONLY for those students and parents who are members of your IMMEDIATE FAMILY. (In some states you can homeschool students who are not in your family. If you homeschool students in another family, we ask that you order another copy for them.)

Let’s put it another way. We are offering our product for any set of parents or guardians who is responsible for their own individual children. If you have several children and are responsible for their welfare, you may print our documents for each and every one of them. You know what we mean by this. It’s not complicated. But please do not print our Planner for others. Tell them about our incredible offer and ask them to order the downloadable files for their own family!

We have intentionally made this product affordable for everyone. In Christian love, we ask that you meet this one simple request. It’s the only way we can think of to make it available to you and still be able to make a living by selling something of value to the public at a price that everyone can afford.

So will you honor this one reasonable request?

Remember, this Planner is a copyrighted document. But we don’t want to make it complicated to make it available to you either. That would defeat our purpose.

So here’s how we are offering it and asking you to help us with this:

If you order our Planner, as we are offering it to you, we want you to agree that by using the password we give you to download our PDF documents, you will thereby also agree that you will only download the documents for students and parents in your immediate family. Again, if you choose to use our password to download any or all of our Planner documents, we ask you by that usage to agree with our conditions. That’s right. Use of our password will mean you understand our conditions and will abide by them. It is the only way we can think of to protect our interests and the copyrighted documents that we are making available to you without getting too complicated. Please help us be able to continue providing these products, and others that may follow, by honoring our one simple request. We really appreciate it.

And we thank you in advance.

At $15 per family, [NOW ONLY $10 THROUGH MAY, 2004] this should be a rather simple and reasonable request.
So if you will agree with our conditions, we invite you to go to our website, www.davidandlaurie.com/planner_order.htm, and order your own personal access to our new, downloadable 2003-2004 Christian Homeschool Daily Planner and The Parent’s Guide to the Christian Homeschool Daily Planner documents.

Download them, print them, make them available to your entire family. And do us one other favor; help spread the word to other homeschooling families by emailing them too.

We want to make our Planner available to every homeschooling family who might want to use one for each student in their home!

Send an email to your homeschooling friends with a copy of the website link to this note. Help us to get the word out about our Planner (if you think our offer is a good deal, of course).

Also keep an eye out for future products that we plan to offer in similar ways to what you are learning of here. We believe that homeschoolers should be able to get products that they need without having to pay too much for them. This offer is just the beginning of what we hope to provide to homeschoolers in the future in terms of the highest quality products we can offer.

Thank you for considering our offer seriously. And thank you for also respecting our reasonable request for limiting the printing of our offer to your immediate family while making other families aware of this special opportunity to get our Planner for their family of homeschoolers too. Just remember, your help in spreading the word will help us be able to provide other great offerings like this one in the future.

So, again, help us out by sending a quick note to any of your friends who might also want a copy of our Christian Homeschool Daily Planner of their own as well!

May the Lord richly bless your homeschool!
